Can you get The Movie Channel on its own or do you need to first subscribe to Showtime? Had a hard time explaining this to the call center. They kept thinking we wanted the movies extra pack!

Yep, the 4k mini genie is going to the second floor. Believe the H54 is self powered, since there’s no power supply like that. We called for a Gemini but they offered the C61K instead! Thanks all, we’ll probably just swap the two on the outside splitter.

Directv installed our main HR 54 on our second floor and we want to move it to the basement to use a 4K genie mini. Can we simply swap the positions of the two wires on the outside splitter so the powered one goes to the basement? Is that safe since it’s grounded? They wanted at least $49 to...

No, we are just going to wait until the 2 year upgrade period is over instead of paying $104 or $299. It's disappointing the tech didn't use the 4K boxes at the start!

Called customer service to add 4K channels. The rep didn’t seem to know this was an option and then tried to get me to pay $299 for a new Genie. We were told we had the newest genie. The current receiver is a HR54. Does anyone know how to add 4k?

Thanks, we will try after the free month. The tech said the dish was just misaligned, maybe knocked out of alignment by wind. He said the numbers were reading low and he got them up to the high 90% signal strength. Glad they came out the next day!

For 101 degrees, they were at 97%. Much lower on several of the others.
