CHFD CTV Thunder Bay losing CTV affiliation??

It's always been a struggle for good television in Thunder Bay, CHFD and CKPR are both notoriously poor for switching into programs a few minutes late, and lousy picture and sound quality. If anything, hopefully this makes one station more desirable for sale, there are many rumors circulating...

Starchoice Question - Possible to split behind LM-2738-SC

Could I use something like this: Zinwell Wide Band WB68 and hook up the two feed running into the building and then output to three? Or would I need all four to output to more than two?

Hello, I have a Starchoice installation on the roof of my office. At present I have two coax runs going into an HD receiver and an old SD receiver. All is working well but I've decided to add a third receiver (new HD box). I have a LM-2738-SC on the dish, is it possible to put a splitter...

New SC Install on 2 Story Office

Great, I was up on the roof yesterday and besides all of the old cat bones (how cats get onto the roof of a two story building ?) there are two runs of RG-6 into the building running through the AC, so my life just got a whole lot easier. Thanks for the help and advice.

New SC Install on 2 Story Office

Is there a good way to test the old receivers? They've both been shelved for at least a few years. So, RG11 with in line amplifiers, should I get the amplifiers that have an ac adapter or are the units that draw power from the line itself acceptable? Thanks again.

New SC Install on 2 Story Office

I've inherited a bit of a problem and hope you guys can help answer a few of my questions. I'm going to install a new SC system on the roof of a two story office building. I have no issues with lines of sight, and mounting the dish shouldn't be a problem. We'll likely get a tripod and...

    BEV - A&E HD - Disappeared

Has A&E HD been removed from the HD programming block? I subscribe to the basics, movies, a few packs and HD, and tonight A&E HD tells me that I need to subscribe to it. This is silly, their HD programming block should cover all HD, if they've started moving things around, I'll dump it and get...

BEV 9200 - After my vacation, it's on vacation

Yes, I've tried checking the switch, and ended up with all X's. After watching pixelated shaw digital for an hour and getting frustrated, I remembered power cycling my old 2700 which brought it back to life a few summers ago, and low and behold after being plugged back in after 5 minutes...

Hopefully one of the knowledgeable members here can help me with a weird issue I have with my BEV 9200. After being off for a few weeks, two and a half to be exact, when I turned on my 9200 yesterday it couldn't get a signal. I've checked all of the connections and I'm getting 90%+ signal...

SC in West Palm, FL - No Guide

Thanks to the great advice I received on this board a few months ago I was able to get SC working well in West Palm Beach, and I loved being able to watch Canadian coverage of the Olympics. However, I still can't get the guide, only the channels which come in clear and strong. I've adjusted the...

XM - Home Install / Pointing

I'm in Thunder Bay, Ontario, about three and a half hours North of Duluth, not sure if that puts us in the East or West, because we're pretty close to the center of Canada. I'm actually installing it on my office desk, but the nearest window is in a server room. Stupid question, but does the...

XM - Home Install / Pointing

I bought a Roady 2 and home kit while in the U.S. and am attempting to point the supplied antenna. I can't seem to pull in any sort of signal, are there any tips? Once I lock in a signal I'd like to mount the antenna on the wall or ceiling, is one better than another? Thanks for any help.

SC Installation - West Palm Beach FL

I can see the channel name next to the channel number in the top of the screen, and the call letters/sign of the channel, but no programming information or guide. I will unplug from the wall, leave it for five minutes, plug it back in and hopefully that will resolve it. Or should I not waste my...

SC Installation - West Palm Beach FL

I'm having a weird problem, at first I thought it was because the receiver hadn't downloaded the guide information yet, but it's been at least 24-48 hours and there still isn't any guide information, and while the channels display the channel title i.e. CTV - Thunder Bay, it will not display the...

SC Installation - West Palm Beach FL

I'm installing a 75e dish with quad LNB North of West Palm Beach Florida. I have a quick question about the cabling to the dish. I envy u guys!

Probably not applicable to yourself, but some South of the border use *C or BEV for RobTV and monitoring Canadian investments and the economy. However, TPB would be reason enough to subscribe, can't wait for the next season.
