Maybe the majority of people that post here have it for sports, but I would bet that many customers are with Directv because they have no other options. I have no cable and slow crappy internet. If SpaceX gets Starlink going then I will ditch Directv in a heartbeat. Until then I'm stuck.

Yes it's all HBO and Cinemax channels included for the week. Unfortunately they have managed to screw that up also. A lot of people are having problems recording 501, 505 and 515. You can watch them but it will not record, says not subscribed. I guess free is free.

That's why you don't pay the sports fee, if you want all the sports then you don't want the preferred xtra package. I don't watch much sports and I didn't want to pay the fee.

The preferred xtra package has the same channels as the xtra package and you do not have to pay the regional sports fee. There might be one or two channels different but I haven't noticed anything missing when I switched.

You can drop the regional sports charge by switching to the Preferred extra package, same channels without the regional teams. I get all the sports I want on my local channels.

I have a HR-44 and several H-25's and I am thinking of suspending my account for a few months. If I disconnect the sat in cable from the HR-44 will the H-25's still be able to see the recordings on the DVR. I suspect everything but the HR-44 will shut down? I know that some point I will lose...

I've been having a similar problem lately on my HR-44. Sometimes it will freeze up when scrolling through the guide or changing the channel up or down. Most of the time it will release after 30 seconds or a minute but I have had to reboot. Might be a separate issue since it's not on playback...
