How to keep 625 always on?

It doesn't have to "turn on" to record. Just because the box isn't displaying video on the TV doesn't mean it's not recording if there is an active timer. As birdoggy said, as long as the red LED is lit, the recording is happening.

Why is everybody so anxious for MPEG4 to come out?

My initial question was somewhat loaded. I know how MPEG2 works, and I know some of the advantages that MPEG4 can bring. I was trying to guage what the average poster here knows. From most of the posts I've read, it seems a majority of the people here think once the MPEG4 switch is thrown the...

HD Projector: how good are they?

92" screen from Sharp XVZ10000 DLP projector. Everyone that sees the picture can't believe that TV can look so good. I wouldn't give it up for anything.

Are there any screenshots for the 522 interface?

The 522 guide will look very much like the 942 (942 started from the 522 base.) You will get 1.5 hours in the guide and 5 channels when configured for 1/4 screen video in the top right corner.

Why is everybody so anxious for MPEG4 to come out?

I fail to see why everybody wants MPEG4 to come so badly. Sure it will allow the addition of a few more channels, but it's not gonna make the picture look any better. Am I missing something?

FYI, The old voom box CAN receive E*!

Well unless if you're a serious hacker with detailed specs on the 7035, your not gonna get anything out of it. Just because the hardware supports a hard drive interface doesn't mean you can get DVR functionality. That's like saying you can create DVD's on a PC running DOS just because it has an...

FYI, The old voom box CAN receive E*!

You guys have got to be kidding. If you only knew the complexities that are involved. You've got a better chance of getting struck by lightning. You think twiddling a couple of bits in a few registers and all of a sudden you can connect to a satellite network that the box was not designed...

    522 Program guide appearance

I've seen this blooming on a lot of older TV's using the modulator. Turning the brightness down could help. Keep in mind that the TV2 modulator is higher power and you need to use the attenuator on short cable runs. For TV1 you should be using the higher quality outputs, SVideo if possible...

First, no such thing as DPP34, just DP34. Second, a DP34 works just fine with the 921.
