Remote 40.0 using AUX volume as default vs TV??

Yep. That's actually what the previous key-pattern did. Still funny that the tech didn't know... page 78 of the hopper manual has it for the old remotes. Thanks,

Remote 40.0 using AUX volume as default vs TV??

That did it... funny, the dish tech (of 6 years) did not even know that was a feature, and he definitely did not know how to do it on the Hopper. The Hopper manual still says to use the #,+ etc. Much appreciated!

Remote 40.0 using AUX volume as default vs TV??

Hi- Just got my hopper. How do I get the remote to use the AUX for volume like I had for my old remotes. The #, +vol, 0, # trick does not seem to work for me. Thanks,

    GoogleTV

This could be a fun gadget, but I do not want to pay Dish to have this in my a/v chain. Is the gtv fee a requirement for any kind of dish integration, or is it just to subsidize the $179 price? Any thoughts on how things will work if you don't pay the fee?

Are we ever going to see External Storage for 622?

This is the same person that did not have any information about the Vip622 from Costco... I sent her a link from the DishNetwork site.

    The Costco 622 Deal

Hi- What else came with your install? In my area I need a Dish 1000, which I believe will be included if I go through Dish. I think they will also upgrade my DP34 to a DPP44+ and give me the separators, etc. I need for single-cable installs. Also, who came to do your install and how did...

IF you buy your own VIP211/622 do you still pay any DVR Fees?

I thought there was another fee that replaced the lease fee if you owned your own box, and therefor it was a wash from a fee standpoint for leasing or owning a box these days. Do I have that wrong? Thanks,

Costco Selling 622 with Rebate, what is the rebate

Thanks... that's the link I sent in my reply to them. I should have asked if anyone has done this. I still can't tell if they'll give me a new switch and how to get an install.

Costco Selling 622 with Rebate, what is the rebate

Btw, I asked for clarification on how the "professional installation" works when you buy a box at Costco and ask for it to be leased using the CEO@... email address. Oh well... anyone know the details? In the end I will need a new DPP switch to make everything work.

    FIRST LOOK: 622 Review!

Can you switch between single and dual mode with the remote? If so, can you still use the UHF remote to change either tuner's channel? My 622 will be in the basement (next to the 721) and being able to de-couple the tuners in the 622 at times would be nice, as long as I don't need to run...

    DPP 44 installation

I see that you can mount these switches inside or outside. How many people put these inside? How long of a run between the dishes and the switch is acceptable? Can you have the grounding blocks between the LNBs and the switch? I have a DP34 hooked up to 3LNBs, all outside. I am going to add...

2nd Receiver Question - Monthly Cost?

Wait a minute... you either pay a lease fee OR an additional receiver fee? (This, in addition to the DVR fee, which stays on either plan?) If that is true it makes leasing a pretty good alternative (i.e. you don't save any fees). Btw, I am thinking about getting a 622 in the next week or two.

    DPP33 availability?

Hi- Any news on when the DPP33 will be available? Any thoughts how much cheaper it will be compared to the DPP44? I am getting ready to upgrade to a 622 and this would be a nice alternative to needing a power inserter. Thanks,

dvr: should i lease or buy?

Isn't the DVR fee waived if you lease? I've owned a 721 for a few years (also DVR fee-free) so I don't know, but I so pay the additional receiver fee.
