OK, I'll pass on the chimney mount. My chimney is very old. Just an idea...I guess a bad one.

The grounding pole is actually on that side of the house. The D* dish is on the opposite side mounted to my newer roof. D* didn't have one at the time.

The installer is comming out on Sunday. Do they have a chimney mount option or is this something I can pick up at a place like Radio shack?

How does one go about getting (new customer) the 722K? I was told that I would be getting a 600 model. I only have one TV at the moment, could this be the reason? Would there be any picture quality difference between the two models? Thanks

Thanks guys. Now I feel even better about my choice to go with The Dish. Powerhouse1960, yes when D* dropped Versus I too was like "why should I stay". They took away the one station I needed to watch professional cycling. One other mentioned about prices kept going up. My wife noticed that too...

I must have been a coma for the last few years. I have had D* for the last five years. It was great in the beginning and great value over cable. Every once in a while I would notice them dropping a channel. Just recently Verses. I took a look at The Dish vs. D* programing at same price packeges...

So if I do buy a 622, will that mean that Dish Networks will not charge me the $10 for HD and the $5.98 for DVR service?

Can someone explain to me if there are any benefits in purchasing a HD DVR? I'm jumping ship from DTV to Dish because the Dish has more stations to offer over DTV. I understand I will be paying $15 per mo. for the HD programing + DVR from Dish. Will that payment go away if I purchase a Dish...

Thanks for the info friend. I'm not sure if it is the slimline, but I know it is their newest HD dish. I had reception problems in the Spring. The tech swapped the dish over to the newest he had.

I want to make the move to the Dish Network from DTV. I have the HD DTV dish and want to know if the HD Dish Network dish will mount to my DTV mast? I really don't want any more holes in my new roof.
