I have a 622. In one tuner mode having a 16:9 on TV2 actually works really well. Of course it's not HD but it's a really clean true 16:9 picture. If you use the box in dual tuner mode this doesn't really work. It pretty much assumes TV2 is 4:3 and you can't get it to properly fill. As for...

Yes they are but some have very little currently. Food HD is dedicated but the new NBCU channels are not.

They are putting up a new Sat in 2008 to provide as much HD as possible. That's good enough for me. Many of these new HD channels have very little HD content atm and none of it is must have.
