I have a Winguard antenna attached to a D1000. Does anyone if is it possible to run a diplexer for the antenna into the same line as TV1 and TV2? Or do I have to run another drop for the antenna? I need my local channels in HD!!! Please help

Are you guys actually seeing these channels on your receivers? I did a check switch. Reset 942. Downloaded. Everything that I could posibally try. What gives?

Yes the locals are terrible through dish. Your best bet is to pick up an over the air antenna to receive all of your local channels. You can also pick up HD if your receiver/ TV is compatible.

When watching CSI:NY on CBS HD (off air) noticed that sound was presented in stereo not in 5.1 as the channel suggested. Program guide said that sound was to be presented in stereo. This doesn't make since to me. Why can't I get 5.1 when it is a digital feed?

Well I worked out my problem. I climbed up on my roof rotated the antenna about 1/4 of an inch and that was all it took. All the channels are coming in clear as day. Have absolutly no idea why that made such a difference but I am good to go!

It is not possible for the Dish rep to activate the box because you are considered a new customer through dish. Your receiver is currently registered under an SBC account. If they did activate it then your Dish installation would be cancelled. Your best option would be to contact SBC and find...

I am having the same problem. With my Voom receiver I was picking up channels with a signal of 88-99. Now with the 942 I am at 70-83 and lose my station lock all the time. I have a direct line from the antenna to the receiver and all the stations are within 20 miles from my location. Any ideas?

I was a recent SBC sub as of a week ago. When I discovered that the VOOM channels were not available I switched to Dish directly. I was considered a new Dish sub so I was able to lease the 942. I was also not charged for the dish at 61.5 because I already had a Dish Sat. installed through SBC :D
