    DirecTV CSRs say there is only a cancel fee ($10) for Premier or premium channels, but there is a loophole. If you're switching premiums and keeping the total you subscribe to the same no fee. Basic package changes don't have the thirty day requirement.

    The issue is if you have an HDTV hooked up and at the same time also are running a SDTV off the Component or A/V connection. With the receiver set to output HD to the HDTV attempting to view the program on the SD set shows a message to change resolution to view the GUI.

    Transferring to another device is not possible. Recording to a DVD can be done simply by hooking up the HR20 to a DVD recorder and recording the output of the HR20.

    Your info is inaccurate the lease fee is $4.99. The $5.99 is for the DVR service for the entire account not $5.99 per DVR. Also in your particular case I don't understand how the $199 upfront is relevent since you yourself say DirecTV gave it to you free.

    It is an opt in subscription. Earl at dbstalk has confirmed with his contacts from DirecTV the channels will be removed on 12/15 unless you subscribe to the HD Extra Pack.

    DIRECTV seems to have forgotten to include 538 ShoToo HD in the FREE preview. The channel is giving a 721 channel not purchased message. All others are coming in nicely including the rest of the HDs.

    As mentioned if your using favorites you need to update your list. TWC is 362 and I have Total Choice Plus with HD Access TWC HD is viewable.
