I have had the DVR service for 1.5 years. I just activated a replacement R15 unit. Directv said that my fee is now 5.99 instead of 4.99 since I activated a R15, even though I had the service for a while now. Is this true? See email below:
Thanks for writing. I'm sorry for any confusion...
Thanks Robert.
Do you know when the Toshiba product will be released? Any idea on the what the price point will be?
Which ever DVR I decide on will be purchased from you. I have heard alot of good things about your store.
Thanks
I am a current subscriber to Directv and the DVR service. Am i eligible for the $100 rebate since the DVR service is already activated on my account. I was planning on buying a R10 to replace a nonDVR Receiver.
Thanks.
Just wondering, how does Directv determine which movies to show in HD on the HD PPV channel? It seems when I want to see a particular movie, they will not show it in HD.
From what i understand, you will need 4 lines running from the 18x20 dish to you 5x8 multiswitch. I needed 5 outputs also and the only way was to run 4 from the dish to the 5x8 switch.
I have only been a subscriber for a few weeks now. I am sure they wouldnt give me a free Tivo...would they? They said I can buy one for $99 which includes installation and a multiswitch. What kind of multiswitch was included?
I just switched from cable to Directv. I purchased the HD Tivo and it is awesome. I dont watch much of the HD from Direct, but mostly I watch OTA. So far i am happy!
Recently I had an 18x20 dish installed. 2 of the outputs are run to my HD Tivo and the other two are connected to 2 standard Hughes receivers. I want to add another TV; therefore I will need to add a multi switch. I have a few questions regarding a multiswitch and the addition of another...
This is my setup:
18x20 dish
1 HDTivo
2 standard recievers
1 OTA
Currently I have 3 TVs. 2 of the coaxs from the dish are going to my HD Tivo. The other two are going to the standard receivers.
I want to add 1 more standard reciever on another TV. How does the multiswitch work...
They are already running two other RG6s for the OTA and another since i am getting the HDTivo. Before they finished the basement, I ran pvc conduit along the ceiling to make it easier to fish coax.
My basement was finished and they ran RG59. My HDTivo wil be installed on Friday. The RG59 run is approx 40 feet. Will this length of run affect the pic quality or should I have RG6 ran?
I am becoming a proud Directv HD owner on Friday. I am also getting two standard receivers installed. Is it posssbile down the road to switch out my standard receivers with Tivo receivers?
Zubinh,
I have a Sammy 56" DLP and I am in the process of getting Directv. How do the non-hd channels lool on the DLP.. Right now I have analog/digital cable.
Thanks for the insight!
The dealer that I am going through has the Samsung and the RCA as the same price and the Sony is a $200 upcharge.
Do any of them produce a better SD or HD picture?
