Is there anyway to use PIP with Voom?

Is there anyway I can wire my Voom system in order to use my TV's picture-in-picture feature? I'm guessing the answer is no, but I figured I'd ask just in case. Thanks.

A Few Post OTA Antenna Upgrade Questions (Lower Signal Stregth, Missing Channel, etc)

Voom upgraded my OTA antenna last week. Overall I am extremely happy with my Voom service now. I went from not having any local network coverage to 17 local channels found when I scan OTA signals now! They upgraded me from the Sensar II to a ChannelMaster 4228 amplified 8-bay antenna, at no cost...

Voom Program Guide shows wrong information for one of my local Independent stations

Just as the title says, my Voom PG always shows the wrong schedule information for one of my local channels. The channel in question is channel 69 WFMZ (IND) Allentown, PA. They have 3 sub-channels. The first (WFMZ-DT) is their normal programming, the second (WFMZ-DT2) is a regional weather...

"BLACK OUT - Channel 505 has blacked out this program in your area" ?!?!

Well, if I had Cable, D*, or E* I would be watching the game right now (and paying less per month, in most cases even with HD) ... so how can I (or you) not blame Voom? In fact, if I had cable I'd be watching the game right now, live, in HD! Voom, the HD leaders... in their own minds.

"BLACK OUT - Channel 505 has blacked out this program in your area" ?!?!

I just tuned to Channel 505 (TBS) to watch the Phillies game and got this message: WTF is this?!? I'm 45 miles from Philly and don't get ANY of the OTA Network feeds, so now I have no way of watching my home-team's ball games. This may be the final straw when it comes to my support of Voom...

Rubbing Rain-X on the dish helps reduce rain-fade?

I just got off the phone with a Voom CSR who was setting me up for a 24" dish upgrade next week due to ongoing rain-fade problems. She told me that its a good idea to buy a bottle of Rain-X and ask the installer to wipe it on the new dish before he installs it. She said it "helps reduce...

I need help or I may have to cancel Voom (No Local Channels)

Cheapest my local cable company offers is $24.99. They call it the "Basic Broadcast Package" and it includes only the local channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, and Fox) in SD. At that price, I might as well just switch back to cable and pay the extra for their HD package.

If I sign up for my local cable co.'s basic lineup, can I run it through the Voom box

But atleast I could watch a Simpons episode, my local news, and the Olympics (live) :)

If I sign up for my local cable co.'s basic lineup, can I run it through the Voom box

I have NO network OTA channels available to me. That means I have NO ABC, NBC, CBS, or Fox programming. If I order my local cable co.'s basic broadcast lineup, can I run the cable into my Voom box and surf between my locals and Voom's programming seamlessly? Or would I have to switch inputs on...

Voom says it is going to "upgrade my OTA antenna". What should I expect?

After not receiving an OTA with my original install, Voom sent a different installer out to set one up for me today. He installed the Winegard Sensar II model, but after doing the local channel scan I am only able to receive two stations (Set-up menu shows OTA signal strength at 97). Both...

Quality of Voom supplied component video cables?

I'm using the component video cables originally supplied with my Voom system. I'm thinking of buying Monster Cables to replace them. Has anyone done this? If so, is there enough of an improvement in picture quality to justify the $75-$100 cable upgrade? Anyone have any other cable brands to...

    Disruption in signal

I had the same problem. After tuning from an OTA channel I would have a hiccup every 5-6 seconds on every regular channel. I also noticed in the options menu that the OTA signal would jump from 0 to about 81 every time it momentarily lost reception; satellite signal would stay at a constant 97...

I need help or I may have to cancel Voom (No Local Channels)

Yeah, I had Service Electric and with all the movie channels, the HD package, and all the rental fees it came to be a little under $135/month. I had thought that Voom would be a steal at $108, but in all honesty I wouldn't really miss any of the original channels and if I have to pay almost $30...

I need help or I may have to cancel Voom (No Local Channels)

Thanks for the suggestions. I had thought about just subscribing to my local cable co.'s basic service, but at 79.99 for VaVaVoom + rental fees for 2 sets + basic cable service + $9.95 for cable HD, I might as well just go back to Service Electric. I think it would actually be less expensive. I...

I need help or I may have to cancel Voom (No Local Channels)

This is my first post on this forum. I signed up for Voom service about a month and a half ago. I love the company and the HD service. My problem is that I get NO local channels. I've had the service guys out three times now to correct the problem, but to no avail. The first installer didn't...
