I tried with the D9479 - unsuccessful. There didn't seem to be a Passthru or Standalone mode like the D9477. And there didn't seem to be a way to provision the unit using the Command port.

To get it working in DVBViewer, I had to manually enter Video Pid and select HEVC.

So far, only way I have been able to play is recording from TransEdit, and play using MPC-HC. DVBViewer and my TSReader did not recognize the video stream.

Keep in mind that this is not just a Satellite Receiver, and not just an Android based Satellite Receiver. Does the A3 come with a funky gyro remote?

Like I said, it's weak here too. With a 10 foot dish, and PLL LNBs, the signal is about half of the other TPs on that sat.

If you already have a GMail account, you can use that same account for the device to access Google Play Store. You could deny it's access to the internet, and just use it on your local network. But if you need / want to install an App, you have to login to Google.
