I don't care for those wireless plug and play junk ADT and like models. My house uses a hard wired name brand system with a ton of expansion. No battery changes, interference, etc. I use a voice communicator and GSM gateway with a prepaid sim. It works flawlessly.

There should be no cost involved as far as monthly subscription. Local tv is currently free and necessary for public service access. The trade off would be free to air locals on satellite for the terrestrial tv spectrum.

I look for the entire over the air tv spectrum to be sold off one day. Any tv that works will be tied to Internet, cable, or satellite.

I am a fan of both iPhones and droids. IPhone fit and finish is usually better than most droids IMHO. Droid seems more versatile and much bigger screens. I really like both.

We have frontier communications. Since Verizon sold out we have had trouble with slow dsl speeds, noisy pots line. My fax machine usually says "poor line quality". Our landline service sucks with frontier sometimes. Verizon was trouble free.

We still have straight lay 1200 pair pulp cable here in wv. DSL will not go through it very well.
