Series 3 on Comcast..... I got my series 3 hooked up and I can get all my channels except for the premium, like HBO, SHO, MLB EI. My digital, HD and analog come in, but not the premiums. Is this their activation problem? They told me it wasnt, but I can't believe that.

Yes. I have gotten 3 different answers. Mainly saying yes, no, and no the cable company provides the box. What doesn't make sense is that you can buy a tivo series 3 and get a cable card for $3/month, why can't you buy your own 8300hd and have it activated? A lot of things don't make sense...

can I have them activate it and save some $10/month? My local Comcast uses a Scientific 8300HD. If I pick one up on ebay, can I get it activated for maybe a $3.00/month fee? Or does Comcast not do that? Thanks

I am thinking of getting digital cable. I have a hdtv tuner in my tv, do I need to hook up a digital receiver to get the digital channels or can I plug in my cable line to the tv and watch digital content? How is their HD service? How is their DVR? Anyone use Tivo with digital? Thanks.
