interesting...another dispute.
Why am I not surprised???
I would think there would be a lot more on that list if it's a dispute. WLAJ is owned by Shield Media, but is operated in a SSA by Media General with WLNS, so I would think the other MG stations would be affected.

I live in the Lansing dma... WLAJ is a joke... They always have audio and video problems... Dish should just drop them and allocate the bandwidth somewhere else

I saw a crawl on my local TEGNA station warning DIRECTV customers.

Carriage disputes seem to be the order of the day as well as the stations going on the offensive if they have a sense that the negotiations aren't in the bag.

Amalgamation is not in the greater public interest.

The guide says "Press Info" so it is a dispute. I would agree WLNS has full control of the station.

but since its owned by someone else (and not a LMA) I think the actual owner (Shield Media) is the one with the dispute with DIsh

Could be, I always thought that the operator was the one that negotiated the retransmission consent agreements. Theirs could be different though.

it all depends on the agreement between the 2 companies (the "owner" and the "runner")

When FOX sold some of their affiliates to "Local TV LLC" a few years ago and when the FOX contract came up, they got to bargain for both the Fox O&O's AND the Local TV LLC stations (Local TV LLC is now Tribune)
