2009 NBA Playoffs

I don't agree that Lebron can't win the big games. Did you see Game 2? Cleveland did not lose because of Lebron. They lost because they have oafish big men and inconsistent shooters. I said it before and I'll say it again Lebron needs a wingman, and Mo Williams aint it. The way I see it either Cleveland gets Lebron that wingman or he goes somewhere else. The Cavs don't want this to turn into another Kevin Garnett situation like Minnesota had.

As far as Lebron not speaking to the press goes I'm not that concerned. He probably realizes by now that it was a mistake, but can you blame him? I get that players have a responsibility to meet with the press win or lose, but there's an old saying that if you aint got anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Who knows what Lebron might have said last night? He might have said some things about his team that you can't take back. Better to pay the fine and calm down I say.

I think he will from this. Besides it will all be forgotten in a couple of days anyhow.
Spot-on analysis, Anders.

That was disappointing to me. I didn't like when the Pistons left the court without shaking hands with the Bulls in 1991 either. In the Piston's case, they were led by the "classless" Isaiah Thomas. In LeBron's case, it was just childish.
I agree. Me thinks Mr. James needs to look up the word 'sportsmanship' in the dictionary:

"It's hard for me to congratulate somebody after you just lose to them," he said. "I'm a winner. It's not being a poor sport or anything like that. If somebody beats you up, you're not going to congratulate them. That doesn't make sense to me. I'm a competitor. That's what I do. It doesn't make sense for me to go over and shake somebody's hand."

He actually said THAT??

I cant blame lebron to much. If I got my butt beat like they did last night id just want to settle my thoughts a bit to before I make any statements.
And then when you do, you make the one he made?? You would think someone as media savvy as he is would realize that congratulating someone who just beat you is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of respect.

Cant wait for the new Kobe/Lebron PUPPET commercial LOL. Kobe making fun of LBJ on how he lost and left the arena w/o an interview. LMAO

Friken loser Lebron is.. well watta you expect for someone with no college education.

Can you just STFU with the "loser"?
I am tired of reading your crap.
I am not a cleveland fan, but enough is enough, all you been doing is just call someone that you will never be a "loser".
No one that made it to the NBA should be called a loser.
The guy played hard for his team, its just the players in his team were not performing.
THAT IS ALL.

Now move on.

Agreed. i'm a heat fan but at the same time liked the cavs and was going for them. to call lebron loser isn't accurate at all. most teams if not all wish they had this guy on their roster. i think it's time to move on to the finals. the better team won. that's the bottom line.

I see all the trolls were out and ready to pounce on me if the Cavs lost. Classy as always guys. You never let me down.

BTW, how bout LeBron? He was single handily responsible for 32 of the final points by the Cavs in the 4th quarter by either scoring or assisting. Tonight, the King would NOT allow the Cavs to lose. LeBron finished with 37 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists. Amazing!

Do you guys see how things are different once we get production from the roll players? Mo Willy had 24 pts with 6 three's, Big Z had 16 pts, Delonte had 13 pts and Boobie had some clutch points off the bench as well. The result was a double digit Cavalier win. I've been clamoring for someone, anyone to step up in this series. Finally they did.

The pressure now shifts to Orlando. They will be pulling out all the stops to end the series in Game 6, because they sure as hell don't want to come back to Cleveland for a Game 7 where anything can happen.

See you on Saturday! Game on!!!!

Where are those Clevlend trolls, after that STOMPING they got?

Cleveland fan here. Not a troll. The Cavs got beat fair and square. I don't know what you people calling out the "trolls" want me to say. I'm not going to make any excuses. Orlanda played an awesome series and deserved to win. Congrats and good luck in the finals. It should be a great series.

The only trolling I see is the non-stop calling out Cleveland fans, the non-stop calling Lebron & the Cavs losers, & the pictures the biggest troll on this thread posted with his digital camera. To you guys: whats up with that? I've never taken so much joy when another team loses even if its a rival. You're calling Lebron a loser? Ok.....

The Day After The Day After....

Ok, I'm finally willing to step forward after days of grieving...

First off, I'd like to congratulate the Orlando Magic. They ARE the better team. They proved it. And quite honestly, this series loss didn't even hurt as much as the Game 1 ECF loss. I was distraught after that game they won on our home court. It was then I saw how mis-matched our team was against theirs. I knew we'd have our hands full before the series, but that Game 1 proved it was going to be one our toughest challenges ever. Game 1 prepped me for the inevitable possibility of a series loss.

The Magic have now beaten a very athletic Atlanta Hawks team, the defending champion Boston Celtics and the best regular season team, the Cleveland Cavaliers to advance to the NBA Championship. Good for them. They earned it.

The Magic had the better overall team and the better bench in this series. Some critics say that the Cavs role players didn't step up and while that's true, it's also a testament to how the Magic out-played us. Both defensively and offensively.

The Cavs now have a lot of questions to answer in the offseason. Joe Smith, Wally Szczerbiak and Anderson Varajao are all notable free agents. LeBron James, Zydrunas Illgauskas and Ben Wallace will be in contract years. Ben Wallace has already spoken publicly about the possibility of retirement. There is no denying that the Cavs will need to surround LeBron with younger, bigger and more able bodies. Especially if they envision more meetings with this Orlando Magic team in the future. The good thing is, the Cavs have options with all the money coming off the books.

A little fun-fact: Michael Jordan won his first Championship in Year 7 at the age of 28. Next year will be LeBron's 7th year in the NBA and he will be 25 in December. Let's curb all the LeBron "doesn't know how to win the big-game talk". BTW, the last I checked, this is a team game. LeBron can't go 1 on 5 throughout a 7-game series. While Cleveland might have the better individual player in LeBron, Orlando has the better team, 1 through 5.

Did you say the same thing to the poster I quoted when he called out "Orlando Trolls"

I have no problem with what LeBron did. I would rather have a guy who cares so much about winning that it bothers him so much that he just wanted to get out of there. I pay to watch my teams and players win, not for sportsmanship. This is professional sports, not youth sports where sportsmanship should be expected, because not everyone is on the same level.
