This week I decided to buy a new camcorder to shoot 4K videos on my travels.

I narrowed my choices down to the a6300 and the ax53 camcorder. Both are compatible wilh all my accessories. I may end up with both eventually. Decided to go with the camcorder since most of my shooting will be 4K video and a camcorder offers better features for video.

Ordered this one:
Amazon product ASIN B01950TCEU

Should be here tomorrow.

Shop around when you are looking for batteries. I think my HD model uses the same battery and I bought one for just over 1/3rd the $179 price Sony lists.

It uses the FV70, anyway the same one that I have 10 of for my older TD10.

Be careful with those cheaper batteries. Some use smaller cells inside the pack and only give about 50% of the run time. You don't need to pay the Sony price, but the real cheapies are a ripoff. I generally pay about $25 for the 70 size. I did buy that big Sony the 100 model and discovered that in my use, that extra long run time was unnecessary. I like the 70's best. They last for years too.
