For the last two nights, my 622 has lost it's guide data at about 6 p.m. central. Checking the switch forces a download and that fixes the problem, but it is getting annoying.

What's going on?

I have had a 622 since they were introduced, once replaced because the HDD died, but all in all it has been a very good DVR and I an highly satisfied, regardless of your hyperbole.

They are not made any more because Dish is now making the 722.

When the next model in introduced the 722 will not be made any more because the new one will be being made.

I'd have Dish swap the receiver. in my best "customer service" voice "This should not be happening to you".

622's suck! That's why Echostar doesn't make them ne more. All 622 work orders are automatically upgraded to 722's.

Refurb CiP622s are still issued. When they are short of them, they'll issue a ViP722. By no means is the ViP622 being phased out of service.

There is very little difference between a ViP622 & a ViP722. And I've had both.
