Dish may be about to add RIDE TV. This is the channel devoted to horse culture and lifestyle.

It's really not a big deal to us. I get the channel by OTA as well as the Cincinnati ABC affiliate on my antenna.

I saw on KATV's (Little Rock ABC owned by Sinclair) FB page a big lost stating that they could go dark by end of day Saturday if nothing was settled by then. That DMA covers the majority of the state.

The weird thing is that Dish is switching the affiliates in the short markets well before the date that Dish would be forced to remove the stations in the markets where the stations originate. This is the 2nd time in the last two months that this has happened to Zanesville. (WBNS was replaced by WOIO a week before WBNS was removed from the Columbus locals.) Do the contracts for in-market and out-of-market carriage expire at different times? If not, why can't Dish switch everybody at once, instead of making Zanesville subscribers lose the Columbus channels early? I guess the bright side is that, the way Dish is currently doing things, Zanesville serves as a "canary in the coalmine" for disputes that may affect the Columbus market.

Right. However, according to the uplink reports from June, that is not what Dish did for the Dispatch dispute. They went ahead and yanked WBNS from Zanesville a week early, replacing it with WOIO. That is why I assumed (without taking the time to fully process the information in the uplink report) that Dish was doing the same thing this time.

The uplinks have not updated yet. There were changes overnight
