If you are on Eastern Arc you will get the stations in HD (EA is 61.5/72/77)
If you are on Western Arc you will still get them in SD (110/.119/129)

If you have HD receivers you should get a FREE dish upgrade once the stations go live (which can be next week, 2 weeks from now or never)

Currently vip222 on Western Arc. Memphis has HD on both arcs. (because Jonesboro is SD only Dish can't turn on the HD Memphis here, yet) The Memphis western Arc HD spot is very weak here, about 20, hopefully the Eastern Arc is stronger. The sat maps seem to show it is stronger here. I hope they turn the HD on quick, 61.5 is going to be tight with trees, I need to know that I can get it before the leaves start falling.
Local cable has changed hands 3 or 4 times since I've been on Dish. ( Local cable still used a C-64 for local weather ) The latest owner has added HD, internet and a Little Rock local, making it a though decision.

they can't. Per the agreement with the FCC to be allowed to sell a station outside of the local area Dish can only do "SV" if the market has a missing network (as in your case NBC). They can't import extra stations "just because"
