When my family moved to Utica in the early 60's, there was only 1 station in Utica.

That would be WKTV where the late Dick Clark got his television start.

His actual start in media was on WRUN radio whee is father was general manager. I first remember him when I was growing up in south Jersey in the late 50's/early 60's when he emceed Bandstand when it was a local show on WFIL. He replaced Jim Horn(I think that's the name) who was caught in a car with one of the dancers.
