? about getting leased rcvr

I am considering going to Best Buy to get an HD dvr. I already heave an H20 that I would replace with the dvr..Just wondering if anyone else has done this and if there is any problems getting it at best buy then on activation make arrangements to send the H20 back to Directv? I already have an SD dvr that had been in that room so the two cables are there already and got the slimline dish so I see no need for someone to come and install the new one.

I don't think you will have any problem with going to Best Buy and getting the new receiver. Hell, I would keep the H20 for your next HD tv just to avoid any other costs down the road.

If the H20 is leased, when you call Directv to activate the DVR and deactivate the H20, they will send you a box and prepaid FedEx label to use to return the H20.

After giving up waiting for the price drop and scheduling an install.

I went to CC, dropped my 3 bills, took it home hooked it up called to get it authorized and I'm up and running, Total time about an hour.

Not having to wait a Service "Tech" to "install it"
