Hi all--
Great forum here! I'd like to thank Black Hitachi for his local help he's provided through private message. I have another question that maybe you guys can help with.

I've purchased a U-75R outdoor antenna from Radio Shack on Black Hitachi's advice. Question is, is there a way to incorporate the signal into the existing DirecTV wires from their satellite, or do I need to run a separate cable all the way from the antenna to the DirecTV receiver? Any help is appreciated.

If you use the 5LNB (Ka/Ku) dish then you must run a dedicated OTA run (prefered anyway). If you use the PhaseIII or older dish setup, you could diplex, BUT, once you get to the point of needing to upgrade to 5LNB, you would have to redo all the OTA work, so go dedicated on the front end. AND WELCOME!
