American Hustle: Went into it blind not knowing what it was. I quickly realized it was loosely based on the FBI ABSCAM sting operation in the late 70s. Very uneven. Overall very good, and sometimes funny. Music is all over the place, however the cars, clothing, hair styles are right on. The movie is shot in the same style as the mid 70s cop movies . All it was missing was the heavy film gain.
