I currently have a Dish 500 for 110/119 and a wing for 61.5.
I know the new channels are mirrored on 61.5 and I'll be able to receive them when my 211 arrives.

Does anyone think that in the near future will there will be a reason to have a Dish 1000?

I had read on here that it's harder to get a stronger signal with the 1000 compared to a 500 so I told Dish when I upgraded that I didn't want, or need the 1000.

Considering the 1000 is included with the upgrade fee, should I get my monies worth and have the 1000 installed?

It depends if you have LIL HD coming from that bird... and were you located (if you even get LIL hd) I would say if your not going to be getting LIL HD any time soon you should be safe where your at :)

1000

anybody have a link to what a 1000 looks like?... I thought it was a dish with 3 LNBs on it.... I told Dish I didn't want two dishes when I upgrade to HD, when they put together the order, the computer said Dish 1000.

Rob - Don't know why my link mentioned earlier didn't work for you.
