does any body know if a new apple i-pod will let you down load content from web sites like lime wire, kaza, bit torrent ? or does it have to much copy right protection ?

Why wouldn't it work. You can copy any MP3 that you have to an iPod. The only part that is copy protected is songs that you purchase from iTunes.

i was getting ready to purchase a new 30 gig i-pod,but i have heard a lot of people say that the main draw back to the i-pod is that it has a lot of copy protection built into it.

You can rip a CD with any MP3 tool and copy it to an iPod. The only copy protection that I have seen are the songs that were purchased from iTunes. Even with those you can burn a CD and then rip them to MP3's to use on any player.
