This morning audio and video is dropping out for a few seconds, and is occuring on all channels. My Sat signal quality is 95, Sat signal power/snr is 60/14.85, and are constant. I am on 5.68 software, and it is effecting all of my boxes. Anyone else having the same problems and/or know what the deal is.

I too am experiencing audio drop out on all VOOM channels this morning. The drop-outs last between 1 and 10 seconds. About 2 or 3 times a minute. Also the video is dropping out for about half a second per minute on most channels. My satellite signal quality is the strongest that it has ever been at 96 to 97. Just yesterday the quality was between 87 and 91.

Well mine has stopped the drop outs for now. Im guessing that it was possibly solar flares are sun spots, but no telling.

I haven't had a pic drop out in a while (knock on computer screen glass). I have been using component cables for stb.

I've had repeated problems w/dropouts, audio and video and both. It mostly happens on the premium HD channels. I have had the STB replaced to no avail. I also get rainfade so the next step is they are going to upgrade my dish to a 24" incher. Hopefully this will fix it. I have also read that there can be bad weather at Voom's uplink facility that can cause dropouts.

I've had repeated problems w/dropouts, audio and video and both. It mostly happens on the premium HD channels. I already have a 24" dish and the signal is rock solid at 97. I have only noticed this problem the last month or two. The first 6 mos. I had Voom installed I did NOT see the problem. Also, I see it 7x24 now so I doubt the weather is the problem. This appears widespread now. Has Voom acknowledged this is THEIR problem?

RE: [VOOM] Re: Audio & Video Drop Out

umm.. it's widespread because you say it's widespread? Neither my parents,
nor I, have had the problems you describe.

Sounds like an isolated problem.. not widespread.

I have been experiencing audio and video dropouts the past few days as well. I also have a steady signal of 96. Should we all call for new boxes since this problem is not widespread?
