Could I get a better understanding of the Auto Gain Control on the configuration tab in the TTClassic product?
I understand that its an outdated product that only people who do not have a constant internet connection need to use in order to record shows - so I will not open a ticket, but, how does this work?
What does minimum levels mean?
What does maximum levels mean?
And then, what does attack time mean?

I feel I would get better sounding, and louder recordings of O&A if I understood and could configure this better instead of me just playing with numbers until one setup doesn't crackle when someone yells or more than 3 people talk at one time.
Thanks

IIRC, the AGC never really worked right, and was a constant source of trouble.

If you want to adjust the gain on your recorded MP3's, MP3Gain (http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/) is the way to go - non-destructive gain adjustment.

I certainly understand that its a bit more trouble ... but I need it because mostof the recordings off of the O&A channel are clipping if I do not use it.... So I just wanted a clue as to where I should be....
