Who would it be? I really don't think anyone from the Big XII would go, because then the Big XII would lose their championship game. It would almost have to be a team from the Big East.

That would be a good choice, but I really can't see them or WVU leaving the Big East.

Mizzou to B10
TCU to B12

It could happen...

In a perfect world it would be Notre Dame. That's not happening unfortunately.

My guess would be one of the Missouri,Pitt,West Virginia trio.

I wish a Twelve team conference would be a ironclad stipulation for a Conference to be considered a BCS Conference.

All 6 current BCS Conferences expand to 12(2-6 team divisons). Mandatory 9 conference games for all. Your 5 divisional opponents plus 4 from the other divison. 2 Permanent matchups with the other 4 rotating on a 2 year basis.

Also while we are at it, mandate that one of the three OOC games has to be against a team from another BCS Conference.

That would ensure 10 solid games for all the BCS teams. A win win for fans of CFB and their TV partners.

We'll let the Big-11 have Iowa State. Missouri needs to stay in the Big-12, cuz it's natural rival is Kansas. I'd love for the Big-12 to pick up TCU, even though that gives more weight to the Texas cabal. If that happened, one of the Oklahoma teams would have to move from the South to the North.

Wow. I'm quite surprised about this. The Big 10 (with 11 current teams) will now have 12 teams in it's conference? Weird.

I'm hoping for Notre Dame, but if they were the ones, you'd think the news would've leaked long before today's surprising announcement.

I think Notre Dame is the obvious choice. And as long as they can work a deal to maintain their NBC TV rights I think Notre Dame would go.
They're the only one that makes sense. NBC could do a deal like CBS has the with SEC and they'd be set. NBC is so stupid for just doing ND games anyway. Most of them are not worth watching. If they had a deal with the Big Ten as a whole they'd always have a big game to air.

There's A LOT of money to be made for the esteemed 12 team to enter this conference. Any team, including Notre Dame should be chomping at the bit to enter the conference.

NBC has Notre Dame football rights until 2015.

... In 1991, the initial contract was sold to NBC for $38 million for 5 years or $1.2 million a game. Notre Dame got half of the latter figure and its opponent got the other half. In June 2008, NBC signed a contract extension, which covered from 2011 to 2015. ...

Which brings me to my 2nd question...

IF Notre Dame moves to the Big 10 in Football, what happens to their Basketball program which is affiliated with the Big East?

I would think it would be an all or nothing move. The Big Ten isn't about to get played by ND like the BE has.

The problem with the TV rights is the existence of the Big Ten Network. They developed an entire network to show their games and an NBC contract would make that a mess.
