Wow. I had no idea CED was that popular, even if only briefly. I remember being glad when it went under- same for Dixv (the "expiring" DVD). I'll have to Wiki it.
I think the point I and some others share is that the format war/competition will likely be decided before it becomes of interest to most people. Early adopters, who are willing to pay the premium (most of us can now look in the mirror) will indicate some trends. Moreso, IMHO, studios and retailers will consider their options and weigh in heavily on which format, if any, gets support.
