From Zap2it:
A record-setting performance on the field in NBC's "Sunday Night Football" wasn't enough to keep CBS' "Survivor" finale from the top of the ratings heap on Sunday.

Among adults 18-49, CBS' 4.7 rating led the way. FOX finished second in the key ad-sales demo with a 4.4, narrowly beating NBC's 4.3. ABC averaged 3.6, and The CW managed only a 0.6.

On Saturday, FOX's lineup of "Cops" and "America's Most Wanted" led with a 4.1/8. NBC, 3.8/7, came in second, followed by CBS, 3.5/7, and ABC, 2.7/5.

I think you'd do far better to go to Media Week TV reporter Marc Berman's Programming Insider blog on a daily basis. Usually by 12 Noon ET he has the previous night's ratings noted (including viewers) and analyzed for their meaning.

He also reports the Saturday numbers on Sunday -- while zap2it is apparently closed Sundays.

Marc has been making a living analyzing Nielsen numbers for years and doesn't just report them -- he knows them inside and out.

His blog is here:

http://pifeedback.com/eve/?cdra=Y&s=32410241

Then for an emphasis on the all-important 18-49 demo, Toni Fitzgerald of MediaLife Magazine has a (Monday through Friday) daily rundown, usually before 12:30 PM ET. It is here:

http://www.medialifemagazine.com/

Both these sources (and especially Marc Berman) are far more knowedgeable and complete than the zap2it postings.

I will look at them. Zap2it provides a snapshot, and what I like about it is the fact that it is neat - and simple. I do not provide detailed analysis of them; I figure people can go to the source for more info. But I will look carefully at these other sources. I don't particularly like some of the Zap2it reports. I'll admit I skip some of the stuff they provide about particular demographics, mostly out of time constraints.

BUT thanks!

I do like the Berman forum. Pretty good stuff. I will try to incorporate it; but need to find a way to not overly complicate reporting of the data. The feedback I have had suggests that people like the simplicity of the report I am providing so far.
