Coldest day so far here in W NJ, mercury reads 5F, wind 8 MPH with 19 MPH gusts. Dew Point is -5F. Won't try to turn my H-H motor today hi hi. Wonder what the temps are in other parts of the country? Nice and sunny though.

Mid-Michigan, right now it's -15° F West winds, 7mph. I couldn't get my dish to move yesterday when it was -4°F, until it got above 0. Luckily, I don't have to move it until 1pm. Should be warm enough by then.

Yes, it is sunny!

We've made it up to -3°f at 10:13am EST. I just tried moving my dish, and it moved fine to 101w, unlike yesterday when it wouldn't move until it got above zero. Could be the black metal heated up a little more due to all the bright sun it's getting.

Was 12.6 F when I got up this morning here in the mountains of Western NC. Right at the freezing mark of 32.1 F right now.

We had all that cold air the last few days. Was still 18F this morning with windchills in the single digits, but its up to 34F now and wind has moved around blowing from the south. Supposed to get close to 40F with a few more hours of sunshine. 40F is where we should be. Its been abnormally warm for most of December and January.

It was about -5 on my way into work, +5 when I ran into town for lunch. Not sure what the wind speeds are, but the Flag outside my office window has been waving pretty rapidly for a while now. That -5 was a lot warmer then +5 with the windchill. Don’t care for the snow one bit, but the cold doesn’t bother me at all. I’ll take this this over 90 degree any day. Hell, 70 is even too warm for me. I typically don’t even turn the heat on at home and the first Spring day it reaches 65, the window air conditioner goes in..

This is the coldest that I have ever experienced. From February of 2015, I believe.

Being a transplant from Arizona into Nebraska I agree. Heat bothers me more than cold. But I've always been the exception when it comes to climate. I look at humid hot Florida or Houston Tx. as hell holes and cold snowy mountains as paradise.

Where our wheels go
It's currently 1 deg.F. at our Adirondack family cottage, but it's 52 deg.F. at our current location a couple of miles north of the Florida line in southern Georgia. We didn't have to shovel any of the 20" snowfall the cottage got over the weekend either! :clapping

Amen! I can't stand humidity. I usually take two road trips a year, one in May and one in October. When the topic comes up of why don't take vacations in the Summer months, the answer is simple, I work in a climate controlled office, why would I want to sweat my nuts off in the summer? In the early 2000s I used to take trips in August, I remember sitting in the parking lot of the Henry Ford Museum & Village in Dearborn, MI and having the car register 105 degrees. Been to Boston and Philadelphia in the summer as well, it was not fun walking around these large, unfamiliar cities walking around in my own soup, sticking to everything I touch. How is that enjoyable?

A few years ago for my May trip we went to the Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountains. Left the Western NY area at 3AM and it was in the 30s, got to Front Royal, VA to check into the hotel and it was 95. Went into the mountains where it was a nice 40 to 45, yes it was paradise! While not as radical as a temperature change, I love taking rides down to Presque Isle State Park in Pennsylvania, right on Lake Erie. My usual routine is to hit up the Chick Fil A right off the interstate, load up on food and then hang out at the park by the water. Chick Fil A is about 15 minutes from the park, and there is a good 15 - 20 degree difference some days.

I like the colder weather. I don’t mind the heat, but I hate the humidity. If I have a choice to spend a June or July in Las Vegas or Tulsa, I’ll the condo in Vegas. 112F with 10% humidity is a lot better than 100F with 85% humidity

45 degrees in northwest Oregon. But then we've had a third of an inch of rain so far today in this land where moss grows on all sides of the trees.

I’ve seen some people wear shorts even in this cold of weather.
