Buying Voom Receiver elsewhere

Im getting VOOM next week and ordered 2 receivers however I have 5 TVs.

Every once in a while I see Voom receivers on ebay. I was wondering if its possible to buy a unit off ebay and add it to an existing VOOM system.

Or does VOOM have to program or authorize it in some way?

no they want active cause most of them that are on ebay have be stolen come to find out .

There's a whole other thread on this subject. Anyways, voom is against free market and fair trade practices when it comes to this. They don't believe you have the right to purchase things from whom you see fit. One of the stupidest policies I have ever seen in all my life.

Maybe a bad analogy but that's kind of like a car dealer forbidding you from servicing or even driving a car you bought used. (like i said, i'm sure this is a bad analogy but I'm half asleep right now and can't think of a better one).
