We're thinking of getting IO for the shore, if only because they moved GameShow Network from Basic To Digital. Money grubbing SOB's ;).

Anyone know for a fact if GSN is part of the cheapest IO package going? Also, will we get the HDTV Basic channels(2-13) with that price? This would be for the town of Ocean NJ, in case the lineup/price changes for each town.

Thanks!

Actually, GSN is availiable in the family package. If you have family cable then all you would need to do is get a box to get the channel. But, if you chose to get the box without the iO package or any premium channels you have to pay $4.95 for the iO Navigation package which includes all the music choice channels also. To get the Basic Channels in HD you would have to sign up for the basic package. To get the iO Package you need to have at least their basic service. This page explains all the packages they have availiable to you: http://www.cablevision.com/index.jh...7866&serviceType=io&z=07712&_requestid=431979

Hmm, 4.95 isn't all that bad. But it might not be a bad deal just to pay the full 9.95.

Is the 4.95 option available on their site to order, or would we have to go to a walk in center?

Thanks :)

I think you would have to call them up to get the $4.95 package. It would probably be a better deal to get the $9.95 iO Package because for $5 more you get another 36 channels. But just remember to get it you have to have at least their basic package. You also need their basic package to get HD locals and a cable box. Also, just remember that it costs $5.50 a month to rent the cable box and $.24 a month to rent their remote.
