Call for Help: Need Elevation and Direction for 129?W

This is simple and short. I have a Dish 300 pointed to 61.5?W along with my Dish 500 pointed at 110?/119?W. Since the Chicago & Midwest RSNs are on 129?W, I think it's finally time to give up the HD Demo Channel and get with the program.

However, my 622 and my 211 won't give me Elevation & Direction figures for a Dish 300 pointed to 129?W located at zip 46601. Is this true on all receivers, or could someone plug in my zip and publish the results, please?

I don't have the EXACT figures (sorry), but this is a pretty close approximation...

I'm in the middle of you two and it's 242 azimuth @ 23 degrees for SE Michigan.

All I did was approximate things by going to the point-dish screen, type in the zipcode for a D300, added 10 degrees (10 plus the 119...hehehe), and guesstimated the EL for the 129 to be about the same as NE Ohio.

I had the same question regarding pointing angles for 129. A couple on this forum gave me these two web sites to find the pointing angles for 129 (or any other satellite) using a single LNB dish:

For your location (46601) it looks like your elevation should be 25.5 deg and the azimuth should be 234.

Can you please let me know what you're signal numbers are with the 300 on 129? I'm also in South Bend and have been wondering how much of an improvement this would be over a 1000.

I put up a 300 last night and pointed at 129. Signal increased only by 5-10 points on all transponders vs. what I was seeing with my 1000

Seems that opting for at least a 500 is the way to go with 129. Wish I could use 61.5 but, I have no Line of sight.
