Hi,

I have way too much difficulties to find anything with a Signal Strength near 90% and a High signal Strength for the Quality.

Right now I just have a high signal strength but the quality do not go higher than 10%.

I have switched my LNB for the following one, please see below

I have a Fortec Star 33 inch dish, a SG2100 Motor, a Digiwave Diamond Receiver (Like a CoolSat 4000 Pro:

My idea is the following, use this LNB to find Nimiq 1 (91 W), I have already a dish on Nimiq 1 that is perfect, so I will try to use this dish and the satellite as a reference for my setup. Mainly the idea came out when I read that those satellite have a strong signal.

Can you guide me on how to set the LNB and how to set up a manual scan so I can point my dish correctly.

I see the following info in lyngsat for Nimiq 1:

Set the L.O. to 11250 for the above LNB. (in antenna set up)

For R (Right) polarization use V (vertical) when you enter your Frequency (12224)

Hi,

In Manual Scan

When I try to Enter Frequency 12224, with the remote control, it reply me that it's an invalid frequency!

I have setup the dish setup to use a standard LNB and the frequency to be 11250.

Do I need to add the info through a channel editor ad upload them in the IRD?

thanks

Regis

Is your reciever able to get good quality on your 'known good' dish pointed at 91W?

It's pretty easy to flip though the settings on the known good dish to find what settings you need for the LNB. Of course unless you swap the LNBs it doesn't really help your situation on the #2 dish but it will get you familiar with tweaking the settings. If feasable, swap the LNBs once you get it working on the known good dish and you can defiantely get your reciever setup for that LNB and actually see it work.

V I C T O R Y ! ! !

Hi, my current Nimiq1 dish help me out to configure my FTA dish.

I have taken a small rope and a weigth and a sheet to gather the elevation and done the same for my azimuth, then I have reported those settings onto my fta dish and got a Quality from 72 to 80 when cloudy!!!

So n ow I think I'm on the right track!

I have also used a pen to mark the angles and the bracket positions on the Mast.

So now I can enjoy FTA!!!
