More on Blu-ray here: Sony CES 2008

I was avoiding individual hardware companies as they belong in their specific forum (hence no Toshiba link). As in the past, these companies announcements have been placed appropriately. HD DVD group, BDA, and Warner (topic of the past few months) are germain to the warzone.

Interesting that their featured player is the 500 which does not handle DTS Master Audio in any form and is not Final Profile (1.1).

But if you want it:

Sunday, Jan. 6th:

LG 8:00-8:45 (open)
Pioneer 9:00-9:45 (open)
Toshiba Press Conference (Invitation Only) 10:00-10:45
Panasonic 11:00-11:45 (Open)
Sharp 12:00-12:45 (Invitation only)
Philips (Invitation Only) Dead since release of 1st player
Samsung 2:00-2:45 (open)
Sony 4:15-5:15 (Invitation Only)

I want to know whats up with the blu ray promo movie for CES 2008 saying that Batman Begins is already available.

Screwup or big announcement?

I heard rumors it might be coming out about the time of The Dark Knight.

That makes more sense. To have it showing as "now" on a promo they will be showing at CES seems a little off. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I dont really care because I bought it on HDDVD, just seems strange. You figure Warner would not go for stating something false in a video to be seen by everyone.
