Cinemax penny deal ending??

It was there earlier today.....but now it is gone. Now I know that Dish is not really serious until they tell you something 3 times :)

Mine disappeared today too. I hardly ever watched it over the last 3 years so I can't complain too much. I guess I watched it more at first than I have since Redbox came along. Redbox and Netflix streaming are going to be the death of movie channels long before they have a serious impact on other cable networks.

Premium channels aren't really "movie channels" anymore. With so many other (cheaper) options for movies, premium channels now have to rely much more heavily on original programming to attract subscribers.

After 3 years and 7 months, Cinemax for a penny is gone for me too. (I'd say I'm going to miss it, but I doubt I've watched anything on it for over a year.)

Count me in with those who also lost Cinemax on the first.

I'm going to kind of miss it. Pairing up a 722k and an external HD allowed me to build quite a collection over the past couple of year. I've got a bunch of the old classic Universal monster movies, and a bunch of lower-tier movies that had been on my Blockbuster list, but showed up on Cinemax before they reached the top of my queue, along with movies that were worth rewatching, but not buying on Blu-ray.

Has antone been encouraged to subscribe because of the three year + NEARLY FREE PREVIEW?

I lost mine also after 3-4 years. If they told me I could keep it for 1 or 2 dollars a month I might but that's about it.
