Closed captioning appeared today about 8:45 am. Thought I had accidentally pressed something on the remote to call it up. Unable to turn it off. Checked several other channels, no CC found. Anyone else see this situation? Could HDnet be sending the signal with CC?

So you went to the menu for CC and it says off? Or you can't find the correct menu?

Yeah, it is showing in guide mode so must have been embedded in the programming. The worst part is the placement of the text... sometime right dead in the center of the screen covering people faces.

I wonder if it's part of Dish's screwing with HDNet's signal, dropping the bitrates and resolution?

811 reads TP but won't lock on signal screen
