All I know that Comcast is taking over from Time Wanner here in Laplace Louisiana 01 May 2006.. What is up with comcast taking over all the TWC Cable, High speed, and Phones??????????

Because of the Adelphia buyout, both Comcast and Time Warner decided to take over some of each's area. For Dallas it's nice that TWC is taking over since they already do Austin and San Antonio.

I just hope they bring better service than Comcast did.

It's amazing how quiet it has been here in the DFW area about the TWC takeover.
I would have thought something would be trickling out about the turnover date.
I think it will happen overnight in the near future w/o any notice. I just hope I don't have to switch out my 6412 DVRs.

No they do not, Ken H at AVS has confirmed over and over that Comcast has a no down-convert policy as far has HD goes, that is why they really want to get rid of their analog channels, to make room for more HD.
