In general I agree but I wonder is a cheap Sceptre TV for instance has a better video processor than an expensive AV reciever.
Confused between Denon or Yamaha options for a mid-range receiver...

Point taken. Probably not many folks hooking up a $1k receiver to a $200 TV though. Usually the other way around.
