Ok guys, suppose Google comes out and says, if your a YT sub, ST is $400.
If you want ST and a Stand Alone, its $600 .... are you buying ?

$ 700 ....

$ 800 ....

$1000 .....

I'm curious, what people would realistically pay for the ST.

Wheres your point that says, No More ????

Like I said .... I was talking about the actual Sunday Ticket, not the Programming. (but no one seems to understand that, they just move to thier aganda)
You are not getting the point, no matter what ST cost, free, $100,$300, you had to spend $1000’s in DirecTV Programming, so that effectely makes ST cost that almost $2000 price.

And that is what kept most away from Sunday Ticket, they did not want DirecTV.

No agenda, just facts.

Google will know that if they overprice it, that will impact how many subscribe.

Also, Google has more options with ST that DirecTV did not.

The newest rumor that was on Reddit is Google does have the rights to run their own commercials instead of re-airing the ads that are on Fox and CBS.

The reason for that and also why Google can price it whatever they wish, is because of the new contracts with CBS/Fox that start up in the new season in 7 months.

If true, that is another source of revenue for Google and then can price ST less.

Not really ....

You may not believe this, but there was a time when D* was a VERY GOOD Company and people came to them ... NOT just for ST.

So, if you had D* regardless, you also had the ability to get ST .... ST was an addl feature.

People that WANTED the ST HAVE HAD the Sunday Ticket.

Of course you'll spin this just like you do with every other post anyone put here.

Your gonna say, there will be a lot more people getting ST now .... There better be or Google made a HUGE MISTAKE.

Now your gonna tell us all the Numbers AGAIN.

Where do you expect ST to be priced at ?

Not really ....

I can’t compare pricing to what happened in the past.

And I had DirecTV in the late 90’s and the 2000‘s, and back then it was great compared to Comcast ( who I worked for until 2003) and Dish, it went bad when my 2 year deal was up and I wanted them to give me a DVR without the upfront cost since they were not charging new customers at the time for one, I did not even ask for better pricing, they said no, $300, I set my cancel date for 7 days later, called Comcast, 2 days later install, DirecTV called me 4 days after cancel call, winback offer was the DVR I wanted and $20 off a month, too late of course.
People that WANTED the ST HAVE HAD the Sunday Ticket.
Now you are repeating that line, many here have posted, myself included, mestevo, ronnie are a couple I remember, have posted many times that we want Sunday Ticket but nothing to do with DirecTV.
Of course you'll spin this just like you do with every other post anyone put here.
In what way do I spin, every point I have made has been true, proven with math and links that I have always posted.

The ones that always argue with me (mr. luxury TV for one) has yet to post links, just his constantly proven wrong opinions.
Your gonna say, there will be a lot more people getting ST now .... There better be or Google made a HUGE MISTAKE.
Yes, how many more I have no idea, depends on things not reveled yet, like pricing.
Now you’re gonna tell us all the Numbers AGAIN.
At least I have links that have proven me correct.

I wish you would quit going at me because of this switch over to streaming, I did not cause it, just predicted it.

For example, DirecTV is the ones who decided not to bid on the new contract, not mine, NFL or even Google’s fault, all they did was bid on a open contract, they did not take it away from DirecTV, DirecTV choose to get rid of it.

So be mad at them.

No, Google has the exact same rights Directv had and exercised. They can replace the 2 minutes of local commercial time with their own commercials. That's the time that local stations typically run ads for a local car dealer or whatever.

Google did not win the right to replace national Fox and CBS ads with their own ads, because that right was not the NFL's to sell.

I wonder how google plans on implementing local blackout rules?
I wonder if they are going to use the subscribers ISP's ip address or just where the subscriber says they live..If they use a cellular hot spot and move around in a RV..would their local blackout games change at each new location...Also if the blackouts are wrong..who do you call to address the issue?.. I don't think google has much of a CSR team for youtubetv...I think all the trouble shooting would be up to the subscriber
Its not even worth it to discuss picture quality or issues with a particular game feed with google..they wouldn't care or even be able to trouble shoot it

You, Sam and Juan keep telling me I am wrong, yet not one of you has yet posted a link showing me I am incorrect.

Yet I prove myself over and over with links and math.

This bit of info was posted on reddit, by the same person that also posted Google can price NFLST at whatever they wish, I posted the same thing here about pricing, told I was wrong then and did not know what I was writing about, then days later, a quote directly from the NFL saying what I posted was true, which I then posted with a link.

Then I was told I was still wrong, the info was incorrect a certain poster said.

The link was from CNBC.

edit, found the info about pricing-

Found the article-

The pricing for Sunday Ticket will ultimately be set by YouTube, which will also determine various potential packages to offer customers, Prasad said Thursday. That leaves the door open for options like individual team subscriptions. “We hope it continues to be a very accessible price and great opportunity for our fans,” Prasad said.

Then here is where a certain someone disagreed after I posted the link-

Incorrect.

The existing contracts with CBS and Fox REQUIRE it to be sold at a "premium price". Widely known for over 20 years.

But, no they are going to lose zillions of dollars and sell it to you for a couple of bucks. Because you showed 'em. No hold your breath and stomp your feet and see if they will sell you ESPN for $2.

Its not happening. Those of us who understand this business know what is going on. No amount of keyboard warrior braggadocio is going to change how this business works.
Once again, these are all new contracts with different terms that start with the 2023 Season, the first evidence is the pricing, which according to certain people, different then before, so of course there could be other things that are/could be different.

If the info is incorrect, post a link, do not just say i am wrong without evidence, so far I have been pretty spot on in this thread.

Dude, it is Google, they will figure it out.

I'm not mad at D* at all ...
They made the right choice, they chose not to be extorted for money they didn't want to give up.

If you notice, ONLY the companies with a Ton of money are able to do anything anymore.

The only thing I am disappointed with is the fact they will no longer try to improve thier situation, such as put more Sats up to prolong thier product and the lack of new equipment.

Then if you've been bought by someone that wants to do nothing and close up shop, we'll they should have investigated that before they were sold.

You know, ya all speculate, like you Know whats going to happen, yet NO ONE knows whats going to happen.

People post articles all the time with info that is just a guess.

Every article is Someones opinion.

Hard to reinvest when they don't know what their new normal looks like yet, churn likely to only accelerate over the next 18 months as the effects of losing Sunday Ticket are felt and contracts expire.

...and many articles are actually driven by sources and research. Those wanting to clump them together with bloggers are typically the ones with the agenda, lol. You dissenters don't even believe what the NFL themselves have said about the deal like it being available standalone, and are already fear mongering about annual price increases? lol.

Redditt, Thats the place to go for Official news on Anything ????
The only thing the NFL has done is Choose Google

Fear Mongering ? You mean Reality ....

I asked a simple question .... How much are you willing to pay for the ST when it is here.

How much are you willing to pay for the ST when it is here.

Excluding self-gaslighting in your post and quoting the question.

I'm prepared to pay $300 sight-unseen, anything more or less and I'll consider the value proposition, but $300 is a steal for our usage. Same approach to all the other services we subscribe to, and is why are aren't DirecTV customers, the NFL isn't worth north of $2500 a year to us.

I've always paid $180 to $300 including the Streaming portion .

When its all said and done, hopefully they have it broke down to where you can buy, Just the NFL games.
If you want the Fantasy stats and all that is a different package.
Red Zone could be another package.

Your proof was "a rumor on reddit" and you want ME to prove it to you?? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.

Show something real that claims Google can replace every single commercial on the Fox & CBS feeds.

Dude I even posted it was the newest rumor from the same poster that wrote about that Google can price ST what they wish.

I never said it was true, right in my post I spelled R U M O R.

Where is your knowledge that it is not true that you write with absolute conviction come from?

Do you have insider knowledge of the current contract?

As far as I know, from your postings here, you are a Bar owner, how would that give you the insight that this contract could not be different?
