The truth of the matter is you probably won't see much if any difference between HDMI and component. I can't on my Sammy. The advantage is one neat cable for video and audio.OK Guys, I went ahead and ordered the HDMI cable for $7 bucks or so which included shipping. I will let you know what everything looks like when I get it and hook it up, hopefully it won't take but a couple days to get here.
I appreciate all the help, but I hope you guys don't think I am an idiot. I pulled the TV out to check the cables that are connecting the 622 to the TV, and I did confirm those are component cables. Red, Green, and Purple/blue for Video, and Red and white for the audio. That being said, should I not be able to tell a difference between setting the picture from 480p to 720p in the menu? I swear to you, the PQ on the 480p does look like HD quality. I know 480p is not HD, but the difference between the two is not that much. Hopefully, the HDMI cable will allow me to tell a major difference.
Thanks again. I will let you know how it goes.
We were all shouting HDMI because you said you were hooked up composite.
