has anyone used one of those clip on type OTA antennas to their eastern arc dish? I'm having trouble with some digital channels and thinking of installing.

Some problems:
They face south east/west depending on the arc. You can probably win 180 deg from that, not that directional.
Not sure how they are with the higher frequency band stacking, the OTA is below all Dish signal < 700 MHz.
They may have a line-powered amp, which may or not work to the high Dish signals.
They usually had 2 in and 2 out for Legacy but that might be good for two newer dish signal?
It was good enough in its day.

I had one (actually still do, on a shelf in the garage). Didn't work worth a d**n but that was in the very early stages of digital and I know locals here upped their power a lot since then. Would probably work well in a urban setting but I'm in the boonies a bit with lots of high, big trees. I'm sure it would work better than an indoor antenna but that's just a guess. If you were near you could have mine to try but St. Louie ain't near............
