Dish "Pause"

If you go on pause do you lose any promo pricing that you may have when you come back?

Huh? Wirelezz asked the exact same question Yragha (the OP) asked, and to which you yourself replied clearly and succintly in post #2 in this very thread. You are the one who brought up leased equipment for reasons unknown. If you have to return leased equipment during Dish Pause, that is news to me.
Just to set the record straight, I did NOT ask the exact same question Yraghw (the OP) asked. Yraghw asked "Can you do it during a contract term and if so what's the fee? I asked just the opposite: "Can one "Pause" Dish service if one is out of contract? So thanks to the official response from the DISH DIRT TEAM the answer is yes. My other concern was would DISH require a new 2 year contract upon resuming paused service? I've received bad information from DISH CSR's in the past, so that's why I hoping for a response from a fellow member here who had actually paused & resumed service while out of contract.

Wirelezz,

Thank you for your questions about our DISH Pause service! DISH will not require a new two-year commitment upon resuming services. If you are not under a commitment when resuming your services, a commitment will not be added to your account. If you were under a commitment at the time that you pause your services, the time you spend on pause will not count towards your commitment time. Your commitment will resume once your account has been unpaused.

I'm out of contract, have an EHD, and have paused once (maybe twice? I forget) and have returned, no trouble. IIRC, you can even access your EHD content while in pause. Useful alternative to have.

Picking up on this older thread - I was told by the retention guy today that I can pause the account up to 9 months - then, if I need to extend the pause again I can do so. I don't think I had ever understood that I can link "pauses" together to keep the account paused a longer amount of time.
