Dish Scapes on 199 is interesting

Dish has put up last years on channel 888 - and I definitely enjoyed that one more than the current one.

Last years was from the outside but this year we get to see what the inside of the house is.

OMG, The Day of the Triffids! I haven't thought about that since... Ah... Probably since it came out in 1962. Was that the movie where everybody who could see the sky went blind, including airline pilots in flight? They sure knew how to scare the hell out of a young impressionable boy. That was almost as bad as the Twilight Zone episode where everybody suddenly became hideously ugly.

Yes, it was. I remember seeing it when I was about 6 at Red's Drive-In in Brookings, OR. Scared the hell out of me.

This is the first time I have seen a date put on when the winner of the Dish Scape would be featured.

At the risk of sounding like an old stick-in-the-mud, I liked last year's much better. It was spooky while this one is pretty much just silly.

They really missed an opportunity with the greenhouse. Last year there were monsters roaming around in there, and now it's just a bunch of flowers.

I especially enjoy the train and the coyote. Just replaced my DirecTV Genie with a Dish Hopper 3, learning how to use the Hopper is a challenge.

That is the fun part. Learning and experimenting with new features.
