Do I need Both kits?

I just got a JVC Sirius system and was wondering if there was anyway I could use my car docking kit in the house instead of buying another docking kit.

I guess you could if you had an converter for the car plug for your house then you could tune it with the stereo in your house if you have the fm modulator cradle, but you would still need to buy an antennae. In the end it may be easier and cheaper to just buy the home kit.

might be easier, but I dont know about cheaper... I was looking at it and it looks like all I would need is a DC adapter. I just wanted to know if anyone else has done it...

In answer to the question. No you dont, I went out and bought a wall adaptor and turned my reciever on. Crystal clear radio upstairs and down. So, for convenience sake buy a home kit. if you dont mind hauling your reciever out of the car and into the house just buy an adapter for 25 bucks
