As an avid TSReader user, I would not purchase it unless it was supported by TSReader. I use the Technotrend S2-3200 with great results (PCI Card, not USB)

I have essentially this unit:
DVB
except it says NEXTORM on the top.

I did the upgrade here:
index
however, I can't seem to get DVB-S2, MPEG-4, 8PSK, or H.264 with the update.

The DVB-S appears to be a good unit for 422 and HD so I think the DVB-S2 should be great.

1) What is the cost of this unit?

2) Is it available from one of the SatelliteGuys sponsors?

1. It is $105 Canadian
2. It is private seller

After some research I already found answer to one of my original questions: turbo encoding is used exclusively by Dish so this receiver will be good for me (FTA).

I am still undecided and I am not sure if I will buy it.
It is very little information about supported by this receiver software (I am software nerd)
Weak response from SatelliteGuys fellows suggests that it is not popular receiver.

9999 thank you for sharing your experiences with the younger sibling of this box.

I bougth it. Received in Brazil in seven days.
The software in the 3.5 CD is useless.
I downloaded the July2008 Version ( UNABLE TO PUT LINK)
1.Add a function to select decoders.
2.Fixed the bugs that fail to scan high symbol rate(30Msps) DVB-S2 channels.
3.Always start IP first, then start default TV.
4.Support AAC decoder

that works, at least to see HDTV Brazilian channels from the StarOne C2. There are only two DVB-S2 HD channels and eleven DVB-S SD channels below:

UNABLE TO PUT PICTURE

I installed on an iMac runnning Windows XP Pro SP2.

I have it running with Dvbviewer Pro and it works really well, much better than the Dvbworld software. :)

Does 2104 need BDA Driver in order to scan the channels?

This is my DVB World list of Brazilian DVB channels on StarOne C2 (replaced BrasilSat4 with KU band add and more strong signals).
The HD Mux at 3700 are DVB-S2 channels, HD and SD- H.264AVC and AACplus v.2 audio

The LD(Mobile 1Seg ISDB-T) channels where deleted from the list because they are just 320x180 pixels.
Band 1Seg and
Rede TV! M

Using the July 2008 WDM drivers I can get almost everything to work with DVBDream, except S2. I didn't spend much time with the BDA drivers, but I recall having trouble with Diseqc support that I need. I did a quick test of their new drivers released a couple of days ago; DVBDream seemed unable to issue Diseqc commands. The DVBWorld app worked fine, but it doesn't integrate with my other software.

Where to buy DVBWorld DVB-S2 HD 2104

Hi, I have been searching for a place to buy the DVBWorld DVB-S2 HD 2104 USB tuner, but have drawn a blank.

Has anyone here bought one direct from worlddvb dot com dot cn? I'd like to trust the western union transfer they are suggesting but don't understand why the don't accept VISA, MasterCard or Paypal.

Anyone with any experience of the money transfer purchase?

Cheers

Martin

I did this about a year ago before Sadoun stocked the DVB World units. The transaction scheme you describe is what I experienced. It was a bit bizarre, but everything arrived quickly as promised. A friend in the UK later did the same thing with similar success.

I currently own the CA version of this product and use it with DVB Dream. I would like to add a second one to my setup. Does anyone have two of them on the same PC? I presume this is pretty common. However, one person told me that if I hook up two DVBWorld USB devices on the same machine, both will independently tune to different channels.. BUT only one will actually provide a stream; and the other one will do nothing. I would presume it goes without saying that there are people who want to use two or more of these tuners on the same setup. I asked Support@worlddvb.com for more information on this, but there seems to be a language barrier; as they mainly speak Chinese.
