I've got a 1000.2 pointed at 110, 119, and 129. I'm adding a Dish 500 with a dpp dual lnb connected to the 1000.2's external lnb port that I'd like to point at 118, However when I set it to the angles specified by the satfinder program, I end up with the message that port 4 is disabled due to being a duplicate of 119 when I go to the 'details' part of the point dish screen.

Any tips?

118.7 requires a different LNB and Dish. You will need a Dish 1000+ or 500+

The 118.7 Dish 1000+ has a large squarish LNB enclosure with 2 drops on the bottom, one for each satellite. The 129/110 LNBs are on side brackets off the the sides of the big 118.7/119 LNB. If you have 3 similarly sized LNBs or a triple enclosure you do not have the right dish.

If you are looking to 61.5 for international channels, you may be in for a problem. Dish appears to be making the move to all internationals on 118.7 only. It looks like they will be turning off the 61.5/121/148 copies in the near future.

811 to 622 or 722 Upgrade??

Has the CW & PBS question ever been answered?
