FIRST LOOK: FyreTV Unboxing

My only question is do i have to pay shipping to receive this item to test or pay to send it back once testing is done.

The BETA test is completely and 100% free with no commitments to buy.

We require a CC for security purpuses in the event that you dont send the box back after the end of the BETA period.

I guess you would also have to pay for the shipping cost of sending the box back to us :)

So for me to beta test your product its gonna cost me to SHIP it back once trial is over. You gonna make me put up a credit card just to test your product.

I would never test any product that requires me to ship it back at MY expense.

Sounds like a great idea for a product. But i will Never Pay to ship anything back. If you cant pay shipping back for me to test your product then its not a product for me.

Buzzdar, sounds like you're not a good candidate for testing with all the issue you have. I look at it as a way to try out a new product and provide input back to the vendor on how the product works and changes you'd like to see made to it to make it a product you want. Look at the DirecTV CE process, there's been a lot of feedback provided to D* on their software and a number of changes we've asked for have made it into the software. The CE'ers aren't asking for anything and don't expect anything, we just want to make a better product.

After the Beta is done...

After the BETA stage is done we will allow people to convert to full customers, we have some really nice surprises planned out for those people, just a teaser...

1) More minutes included with your monthly membership...

2) Exclusive access to unpublished content (which you will be able to watch for free untill it gets published)

3) additional free time to access the system after it goes live (we are thinking 1 free month, but its undecided)

And other cool stuff (free swag, etc etc...)

Its not that i am looking to be compensated for my testing its i dont think we should have to pay a return fee. For something that size and price of equipment its prob gonna cost 10-20 bucks to send it back. I would love to test this item. i think it would be a great experience to check this out and find any possible problems.

With testing any company's product they want the Honest truth about there product. To help make things better. To me i should be able to get a product and test it out during the test time and send it back when test is over with all my opinions FREE of charge of anything. WE the beta testers are doing the company a favor of helping them out. If Estefano would tell me here and now i could send it back ship free when its over i would jump on this product right now. BUT i know there are alot of software companies that would do just that to test there product. I know right here right now this company is getting massive exposure of this product FOR FREE.

I think it cost Estefano about $11 to send me my box and he sent it via DHL.

Not much at all.

Hes sending you a box which costs him between $100 and $200 on his dime. I dont see this as a company getting exposure for free, its costing them loads to do this beta test.

He is giving these folks free services for the time they are testing.

You can't ask for more then that. :)

As I said I dont see many people sending this box back. :)

i am ready to be a beta tester for anything, and heck no i wont send it back, i would buy it after the beta test is over, i love porn :)

People, you're getting a boatload of free porn for months for just the cost of mailing the box back, what a deal. I still have the Xtv, but can always use more porn.

Remember what your mother said. You all are going to go blind....
$11 seems pretty cheap when a used DVD these days goes for $10 to $20 bucks.

@Estefano

I just wanted to jump in and say "Thanks" for coming around and posting here about your product. It's good to see you actively involved with the folks.

I for one am standing by and looking forward for my beta to start. First, I like the content. :) but I have 6 PCs, 7 TVs with 2 being HDTVs and 3 Xboxs all networked. I have a network that's wired & wireless running gaming adapters, switches & access points.

I looking to see how the streaming holds up across the bridges and how well the Xboxs and different PCs handle the streams. Comparing between HD and SD too is planned.
